Chennai Test – India lead by 308 runs: Bangladesh all out for 149 in first innings; India 81/3 in second innings

India has reached a strong position in the Chennai Test against Bangladesh. By the end of the second day’s play on Friday, India has scored 81 runs after losing 3 wickets in the second innings. India had taken a lead of 227 runs in the first innings, now its lead has increased to 308 runs. Rishabh Pant returned unbeaten after scoring 12 runs and Shubman Gill returned unbeaten after scoring 33 runs.

In the first session of the day, the Indian team was all out for 376 runs in the first innings. In response, in the third session today, the Bangladesh team was also all out for 149 runs in the first innings. Jaspreet Bumrah took 4 wickets for Team India. He has completed 400 international wickets.

In the second innings, Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 5, Yashasvi Jaiswal for 10 and Virat Kohli for 17 runs. So far, Mehdi Hasan Miraz, Nahid Rana, and Taskin Ahmed have taken 1-1 wickets for Bangladesh.

First session: India all out for 376 runs in the first innings On the second day of the Chennai Test on Friday, Team India started playing with a score of 339/6 and lost the last 4 wickets in making 37 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin, who had scored a century on the first day, scored 113 runs, while Ravindra Jadeja was out on 86 runs. Apart from Ashwin and Jadeja, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 56 and Shrabha Pant scored 39 runs in the first innings for India.

Hasan Mahmud took 5 wickets for Bangladesh. He became the first Bangladeshi bowler to take 5 wickets in an innings in India. Taskin Ahmed took 3 wickets. Mehdi Hasan Miraz and Nahid Rana got 1-1 wickets.

In the same session, Bangladesh lost 3 wickets of their first innings. Shadman Islam 2, Zakir Hasan 3 and Mominul Haque were out on zero. Shadman was bowled by Bumrah and Zakir-Mominul were bowled by Akash Deep.

Second session: In this session Bangladesh lost 5 wickets of their first innings The second session was in India’s favour. The team took 5 wickets in Bangladesh’s first innings in this session. Thus, till the tea break, Bangladesh scored 112 runs for 8 wickets in the first innings. Nazmul Hussain Shanto 20, Mushfiqur Rahim 8, Liton Das 22, Shakib Al Hasan 32 and Hasan Mahmud were out after scoring 9 runs. Shakib and Liton Das were dismissed by Jadeja and Hasan Mahmud and Rahim were dismissed by Bumrah.

Third session: Bangladesh all out, India lost 3 wickets in the second innings Today, in the third session, Bangladesh team was all out for 149 runs in the first innings. However, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has decided not to give follow-on to the visiting team. In the third session, Bangladesh lost its last wicket for 149 runs. Here Mohammad Siraj bowled Nahid Rana.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan scored the highest 32 runs, while Liton Das contributed 22 and captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto contributed 20 runs. Jaspreet Bumrah took 4 wickets for Team India. He has completed 400 international wickets. Apart from Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, Akash Deep and Ravindra Jadeja took 2-2 wickets. Ashwin scores century on day one of Chennai Test, India 339/6

India scored 339 runs for the loss of 6 wickets on the first day of the Chennai Test against Bangladesh.
