Central Bureau of Communications, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Bareilly organized a special public awareness program on the occasion of National Nutrition Month. A one-day public awareness program was organized at Kanti Kapoor Saraswati Balika Vidyalaya Izzat Nagar Bareilly.

Be aware of the routine
Addressing the program, Child Development Project Officer Krishna Chandra explained the specialty of rainbow diet and its usefulness in daily routine. Rakhi Gupta, Nutrition Specialist, laid special emphasis on the usefulness and source of obtaining essential elements for balanced physical development of youth.
Regional Publicity Officer Sagar Kumar said that this program has been organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India with the objective of spreading information among the people about the need of nutrition, ways of obtaining it, balanced diet, nutrition of children, nutrition of pregnant women, vaccination etc.
Information was also given to women and girl students about staying healthy.

In this programme, Godh Bharai and Annaprasan have been organised with the support of Bal Poshanthaar Vibhaag Bareilly. All the children present were also administered the Swachhata Pledge. While addressing the gathering, the school Principal Archana Gehlot said that malnutrition is a problem of the whole world where under-nutrition affects the weight and height of a person according to age, while over-nutrition can lead to obesity, overweight and diet-related non-communicable diseases. That is why our diet should be balanced.

The school’s principal Archana Gehlot awarded the winners of the quiz competition organized on the topic of National Nutrition Month to 20 children. A cultural program was presented on the topic of Nutrition Month through street plays and songs under the guidance of Mohammad Parvez of Bandhan Nritya Natya Sansthan Bareilly. Devendra Rawat, Syed Fatima, Haseen Mian, Suraj, Meraj, Varsha Maurya, Param and others were present on this occasion.
