ICC Chairman Jay Shah arrived in Varanasi on Monday on a two-day visit. Late on Monday night, Jay Shah performed special prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple. He performed aarti while performing a grand Rudrabhishek of Baba Vishwanath. Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur was also present with him.

Anurag Thakur also participated in other rituals in the temple. Along with family and supporters, special Rudrabhishek of Mahadev was performed under the leadership of priest Shrikant Mishra in the premises. After the special Abhishek for two hours, Baba’s Aarti was performed. Special security force was deployed in the temple in view of Jai Shah’s arrival.
Jaish Shah reached Kashi Vishwanath temple on Monday evening and all the members along with him entered the sanctum sanctorum of the temple after paying obeisance to Baba. After offering prayers, he saw Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Archak Shrikant Mishra conducted the darshan pujan as per the rituals. Aangavastra and Baba’s prasad bundle were presented as a gift from the temple.
