Floods continue to wreak havoc in Hardoi. Farmers’ crops have been submerged. Farmers are once again forced to leave their homes and migrate to other places to make ends meet. A high ranking official of the Uttar Pradesh government has come to inspect the flood situation in Umaria village of Shahabad block.

Rajni Tiwari met the villagers and assured them of all possible help. Along with this, Rajni Tiwari instructed the health department, canal department and other officials to provide all possible help to the villagers after the flood water recedes and to conduct health checkups of the villagers from time to time. Rajni Tiwari said that flood-affected farmers will not be allowed to face any kind of problem. Instructions have been issued to the officials in this regard.

There are many villages in Shahabad assembly constituency where rain has once again caused havoc. The water level of the rivers rose again due to the Ganga barrage which was released due to rain. As the water level of the rivers increased, the rivers passing through Shahabad assembly constituency started overflowing and the low lying areas got flooded.

The villagers had not yet recovered from the floods in July when the floods in September caused huge losses to the farmers. The crops grown by the farmers with hard work were once again destroyed in the floods. During this, Shahabad Assembly member and State Minister of Higher Education in the state Rajni Tiwari, who came for inspection, heard the problems of the farmers and directed the officials to resolve them immediately.
