The body of a 25-year-old married woman was found hanging from a tree outside the village in Agarpura village of Matsena police station area of Firozabad on Sunday night. This incident has caused a sensation in the area, while the family members are said to be missing from the house. The deceased’s maternal family has accused the in-laws of culpable homicide.

The deceased Neetu was married to Jairam, a resident of village Netpura, Dauki, Agra, seven years ago. When the news of her dead body was received, her maternal family reached the spot and the police was also informed. The deceased’s father Pritam Singh alleged that the in-laws used to harass his daughter by demanding additional dowry. He claimed that when the demand was not met, the in-laws killed his daughter.
Matsena police reached the spot and seeing the seriousness of the case, took down the body from the noose and sent it for postmortem. Police station in-charge Tejveer Singh said that action will be taken on the basis of the complaint of the maternal side. He said that the in-laws were absconding from the house at the time of the incident, and appropriate action will be taken against them.
