Due to extreme heat, a transformer caught fire in Mechanic Nagar on Konch Road in Orai, Jalaun. The fire took a monstrous form in no time, due to which the transformer burned to ashes. Local people were terrified after seeing this incident.

On getting information about the fire, the local residents immediately informed the fire brigade and the electricity department. The electricity department took immediate action and switched off the supply, due to which the power supply in the area got disrupted.
Firefighters brought the fire under control
The fire brigade team that reached the spot controlled the fire after a lot of hard work. The flames were so fierce that the nearby 11 KVA line was also affected. After the fire was extinguished, the local people heaved a sigh of relief, but due to the fire in the transformer, the power supply of the entire Mechanic Nagar Ward No. 10 has been disrupted, due to which the entire area has plunged into darkness.
This incident has once again made people aware of the dangerous effects of heat. Now all eyes are on the electricity department as to when the power will be restored in the area.
