The woman’s body was taken out after digging a grave in Kagrehat village of Moradabad.

Moradabad police has dug out the body of a woman from the grave and sent it for postmortem on suspicion of murder. The woman died 15 days ago under suspicious circumstances. After which her in-laws buried her. But the woman’s parents accused her in-laws of murder.

The case is of village Kagrehta of Mundhapande police station area. Anjum, a resident of Kundarki, was married to Dildar Hussain of village Kagrehta of Mundhapande police station area. Anjum died in her in-laws’ house under suspicious circumstances on September 7. After which her in-laws buried her body without informing the police.

Anjum’s brother Abdul Hussain claims that before dying, his sister had called him on the day of the incident. In which she had said that her in-laws are beating her, they will kill her. Anjum’s brother has also claimed to have a recording of the conversation with his sister in his phone. Anjum’s parents complained about this to SSP Satpal Antil and DIG Muniraj-ji. After this, the SSP wrote a letter to the District Magistrate to exhume the body from the grave and conduct a postmortem. After the permission of the DM, Anjum’s dead body was dug out of the grave in Kagrehta village in the presence of the magistrate. After filling the Panchnama, Anjum’s body has been sent for postmortem. Magistrate/ Naib Tehsildar Sadar Suraj Singh said that the body has been exhumed on the instructions of the District Magistrate. The police have filled the Panchnama and sent the dead body for postmortem.
