In Moradabad, the sand mafia tried to run over an IAS and his team with a tractor. Not only this, they also attacked the team by breaking sugarcane. An FIR has been registered against the sand mafia in the case. SSP Satpal Antil has sent 10 teams to arrest the sand mafia and its henchmen.

The incident took place on the banks of the Dhela river in Bhojpur police station area of Moradabad. On receiving information about illegal mining here, Joint Magistrate Ram Mohan Meena raided the place along with the Tehsildar and police team. During the raid, sand was being mined in the Dhela river with the help of a Hedra machine. While this sand was being transported with the help of 2 tractors.

The police have seized two tractors and a hydra machine from the spot and parked them at the police station.

SP Rural Kunwar Akash Singh said that when the team raided, the people mining sand attacked the team. The sand mafia tried to run over the raiding joint magistrate’s team with a tractor. They tried to attack the team by breaking sugarcane from the nearby sugarcane field. The additional force that reached the spot chased away the sand mafia. After this, 2 tractor trolleys and a Hydra machine have been seized from the spot.

SP Rural Kunwar Akash said that police teams are raiding the hideouts of the accused.

On the complaint of accountant Sarvesh Kumar, who was part of the team, the police have lodged a report regarding the incident in Bhojpur police station. In this case, SSP Satpal Antil has formed 10 teams to arrest the accused.
