Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has announced his retirement. Shakib said that the match against South Africa in Mirpur will be my last test. He was talking to the media before the second test against India starting on 27 September in Kanpur.
The 37-year-old Bangladeshi all-rounder could not perform well against India. He could score only 32 runs in the first innings and 25 runs in the second innings. He did not get any wicket in this test played in Chennai.
Shakib has been charged with murder According to the Daily Star report, Rafiqul Islam said that on August 5, his son Rubel was protesting in the Ring Road area of Adabar. Many other students were also involved in this protest along with Rubel. 147 people including Shakib were accused of ordering firing on the protesters. Also, many accused were also involved in firing.
Rubel was injured during the firing, he was admitted to the hospital, but he died after 2 days. After which his father lodged a report at the police station.
