Despite being MLA thrice, MP once and holding the post of Minister of State for Power in UP Government, his simplicity and connection with the land is still the same as it was before becoming MLA. They do farming while living in their villages, feed the animals themselves, and connect directly with the common people. His simplicity and humility make him different from other leaders.

Many times MLA, once MP, but ordinary life Baijnath Rawat entered Parliament in 1998 by winning from Barabanki seat. Prior to this, he was a three-time MLA and served as the Minister of State for Power in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. However, his tenure as MLA all three times was relatively short, which did not give him the opportunity to work extensively for the public.
