The Chairman of the Commission is on a three-day visit to Aligarh and inspected the Anganwadi Centre, Primary School, District Hospital, Jail and Atal Residential School and checked the arrangements there. Along with this, he also talked to the children living in jail and got information about their problems.

Children aged 6 to 14 years are in jail
There are many women prisoners serving sentence in Aligarh jail who have children aged between 6 to 14 years. These children are living in jail with their mothers. In such a situation, the responsibility of their education is being taken up by the department and they are being given education.
Officials said that by running a crèche for these children, quality education is being provided to them by the teachers. Text books and stationery were also distributed to the children. After this, the President reached Malkhan Singh District Hospital and met the patients and their attendants to know their well-being.

Children begging will be identified
The Chairman directed the officials to completely eliminate child labour, child beggary and child exploitation. For this, such children should be identified and they should be immediately admitted in the school. Along with identifying the children, the officers should also provide education to the children with the help of the education department officials.
A campaign is being run by the Narcotics Department and Child Development and Nutrition Department in the entire state. There should not be beedi tobacco shops near schools. Beedi cigarettes have been completely banned in schools, operation of hookah bars has been stopped. Sentinel clubs have been formed in schools.
