Mahendra Dwivedi, who is holding the responsibility of operating the ultrasound center of the health department and implementation of the PCPNDT Act, has been given this responsibility in his place, Junior Assistant Deepika Nigam was replaced by his post in the CMO office. This action has been taken after the strict reprimand of DM in the meeting of the District Health Committee.
How was the file theft revealed? The case is on September 11, when on the occasion of Filaria Day, DM Madhusudan inaugurated by feeding medicine at the health department. The DM then moved to participate in another program. Meanwhile, an important file of the health department placed on his table disappeared. The file had a report related to the investigation of corruption of a contract worker, which was to be sent to the government.
When the government summoned the report of this file from the DM, the case of disappearance of the file came to light. The DM got the CCTV footage of his office checked, in which Mahendra Dwivedi was seen taking the file and handing it over to another person. After this, on the instructions of DM, Deputy CMO Rahul Singh filed a case in Manjhanpur police station and filed a case. However, the police’s action remained so sluggish that the matter is still hanging in the balance.
CMO takes action on DM’s displeasure Angered by the delay in the investigation and lack of action, DM Madhusudan expressed strong displeasure at the District Health Committee meeting. CMO Dr. Sanjay Kumar informed that the accused contract worker Mahendra Dwivedi has been associated with a strong community health center. Whereas, the responsibility of PCPNDT Act has now been entrusted to Junior Assistant Deepika Nigam.
