DM Priyanka Niranjan conducted a surprise inspection of the Divisional District Hospital in Mirzapur. He inquired about the availability of medicines at the medicine counter and interacted with the patients. A patient’s attendant told that some medicines were received from the hospital, while the rest were given by the doctor.

The DM himself went to the Janata Medical Store along with the patient’s attendant and inquired about the status of medicines. After this he again returned to the medicine counter and provided necessary medicines to the patient. He directed the Chief Medical Superintendent that if in future medicines are prescribed by doctors from outside, strict action will be taken against the concerned doctor.
Strict action will be taken against indiscipline
During the inspection, when the District Magistrate asked for the index from Rammurat Singh, the Chief Pharmacist working at the medicine counter, it was not shown to him. On this the District Magistrate ordered disciplinary action.
attention to cleanliness
The District Magistrate expressed his displeasure after seeing the garbage spread behind the hospital and filth on the stairs and directed for cleanliness. He also ordered for setting up vehicle parking behind the hospital premises and further cleanliness.
Facility for patients in OPD
While talking to the patients at the registration counter, a patient told that he had to see a doctor in the OPD. On this, the District Magistrate herself went to the pediatrician and got information about the medicines from the doctor. He instructed the Chief Medical Superintendent to make arrangements for more OPD in the children’s room.
Solution to technical problems
The District Magistrate also took information about the City Scan Machine, where the Chief Medical Superintendent said that its operation could not be started due to technical reasons. The District Magistrate directed that after removing all the shortcomings, the operation of the machine should be started soon, so that the patients do not have to go out.
