Wife had accused four people of murder Government advocate Rajveer Singh said that Sunita, a resident of Nainsob village of Nagal police station, had lodged a report of the murder of her husband Monu alias Manoj on August 20. The woman filed a named case against four people of the same village, accusing them of murder. The allegation was that her husband had been taken for labour. The husband did not return till late at night. Also searched among relatives. Two days later, the body of the woman’s husband was found lying near the Sakhan Canal.

The deceased’s father accused his son’s daughter-in-law The police were still investigating the matter. Then deceased Monu’s father Teluram reached the police station and filed a complaint against his son’s daughter-in-law Sunita. The allegation was that Sunita had an illicit relationship with Manoj, a resident of the village. Both of them together murdered his son Monu and threw the body near the canal.

Police investigated the case and arrested Sunita and Manoj. During interrogation he also confessed to murder. Charge sheet filed in the investigation. District Judge Babita Rani’s court has sentenced both of them to life imprisonment on the basis of evidence on file and testimony of witnesses.

The woman wanted to get him out of the way. Sunita used to tell her lover that if you remove her husband from the way, I will marry you. The wife gave the task of killing her husband to her lover.

On August 18, the accused called Monu. Said you need money, let me get it. Monu came with his bike. Both reached Talheri. Both of them bought liquor and reached Sakhan Canal. Both of them drank alcohol. An altercation broke out between the two while intoxicated. Manoj strangled Monu to death with his towel. After the murder, liquor glasses and empty liquor bottles were thrown into the canal.
