A meeting of the Parliamentary Study Committee of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council was organized in Mirzapur, in which officials of Mirzapur and Bhadohi districts participated. Legislative Council Chairman Surendra Chaudhary presided over the meeting. On this occasion, he stressed that the action taken on the letters sent by the public representatives to various departments and their reports should be made available to the concerned public representatives on time.
Apart from Surendra Chaudhary, many other Legislative Council members were also present in the meeting, which included Umesh Dwivedi, Kiran Pal Kashyap, Ashutosh Sinha, Hansraj Vishwakarma, Dhamendra Singh Surendra Pandey and Vinod Kumar Yadav. District Magistrate Mirzapur Priyanka Niranjan and District Magistrate Bhadohi Vishal Singh and many other senior officials were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, information was given about the disposal of 50 cases of Rural Development Department, Mirzapur, in which it was told that all the cases have been resolved. The Chairman directed that the action on all the letters sent by the public representatives should be completed within a maximum of 45 days and the public representatives should be informed about it. Municipal Council Mirzapur, Ahraura, Chunar and Nagar Panchayat Kachwan were also reviewed in the meeting.
Along with this, there was a detailed discussion on the functioning of other departments including Animal Husbandry, Revenue Department, Panchayati Raj, Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Excise, Tourism, Irrigation and Police Department. In the context of Bhadohi district, the Chairman directed District Magistrate Bhadohi to provide correct and clear information by the departments. He also said that while preparing the booklet, the Chief Development Officer himself should review it so that transparency is maintained in the report.
Chairman Surendra Chaudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the government is rapidly carrying forward the works of public interest. Public representatives and officials should work in mutual coordination so that development works can reach the people properly.
MLA Umesh Dwivedi urged the officials to respond to the letters of public representatives on time. Kiran Pal directed the Jal Nigam to ensure drinking water supply under the Jal Jeevan Mission, and also demanded quality repair of the roads dug for laying pipelines. DRA of Mirzapur and Bhadohi, District Development Officer, District Basic Education Officer and other officers were also present in the meeting.
