People facing the problem of water logging due to encroachment of the culvert on the main road in Pandeypur alias Basantpur of Tamkuhiraj tehsil area of Kushinagar demonstrated at the tehsil headquarters. People gave complaint letter to SDM requesting him to get rid of the problem.

Three culverts have been constructed by the Road Construction Department for drainage on Sitaram Chauraha-Dhuriya road in the village. Which was blocked by some people by encroachment. Due to which, due to water logging, hundreds of acres of crops were submerged for three months. Due to lack of drainage, water from heavy rains entered people’s homes. Due to which he reached the rural tehsil headquarters and conveyed his pain to the Deputy District Magistrate.
The problems of the villagers have been resolved by the Deputy District Magistrate by sending the team of Naib Tehsildar Kundan Verma, Kanungo Ashwini Rai, Accountant Rajneesh Upadhyay, Halka Accountant. The people suffering from this action of the administration heaved a sigh of relief.
