SP Gyananjay Singh told that the woman resident of Hamirpur had lodged a report in the women’s police station accusing the accused inspector Nagsen Anand, resident of village Taharpur district Jalaun, of raping and assaulting her on the pretext of marriage. The accused was posted there during the incident. The accused was continuously absconding since the incident.

Due to which Additional District Judge FTC Second Court had ordered attachment action against the accused. Mahila police station in-charge Aruna Rai along with the police force reached the village of the accused and pasted the notice of attachment action. The police had also made an announcement in the village.

Police had raided 8 districts SP said that on Monday, on the information of the informer, women police station in-charge Arun Rai and his team arrested the accused inspector near the court. The accused inspector was planning to surrender in the court on Monday. Earlier, to arrest the inspector, the police had raided eight districts of the state, Orai, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Oraiya, Kanpur, Lucknow and Baghpat, but he was not caught by the police. Advance legal action is being taken against the accused.
