To realize the cleanliness pledge of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, October 2, on Gandhi’s 155th birth anniversary, will be celebrated as Swachh Bharat Diwas in the entire state including Lucknow. Various programs will be organized in the capital. 9 am to 1 pm in all bodies

But in order to make the cities of the state of global standards, the work of cleanliness, hygiene, beautification and management of the bodies will continue continuously. Along with cleanliness and beautification work, efforts will also be made to establish cleanliness in the nature and values of the people.
Safai Mitras and stakeholders who have done excellent work in documenting various activities organized under the Swachhta Hi Seva 2024 campaign will also be honoured.
Sanitation is more important than freedom
Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma said that Mahatma Gandhi had considered cleanliness more important than independence. Cleanliness is most important for physical fitness and healthy environment. Told that various programs will be organized in 762 civic bodies of the state.

- Organization of programs at converted CTU sites
- Shramdaan organized for cleanliness
- Congratulations and honor to the Safai Mitras and other cleanliness champions who performed best at the civic level under the Swachhta Hi Seva 2024 campaign.
- inauguration of sanitation infrastructure
- Organization of cleanliness culture festival and conferences at civic level
- ODF in urban areas. Ward meeting organized to establish plus model
- Various programs will be organized in the bodies receiving ODF Plus model.
