On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Ghazipur, 12 gram panchayats of the district were declared TB free gram panchayats on Wednesday. A meeting was organized in the Rifle Club Auditorium under the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program and Prime Minister TB Free India Campaign.

MP Dr. Sangeeta Balwant said that TB is a serious disease, carelessness in its treatment can take serious forms. More people may be affected by this. TB can be cured by completing the course of treatment. Continuous efforts are being made by the Health Department for its prevention and control. Currently 12 gram panchayats have been declared TB free. Soon all the Gram Panchayats of the district will be declared as TB free Gram Panchayats. For this, the district administration, health department and Panchayati Raj department are making joint efforts.

During this, District Panchayat President Sapna Singh and Municipal Council President Sarita Aggarwal encouraged the village heads, CHOs and other health workers and front line workers of the Gram Panchayats declared TB free.

On this occasion, MP Dr. Sangeeta Singh Balwant and District Panchayat President Sapna Singh assured to support 100 TB patients by adopting them in their nutrition and treatment. District Magistrate Aryaka Akhauri said that in the first phase, 12 gram panchayats of the district have been made TB free. The remaining 533 gram panchayats have been selected in the next phase. People will be examined and treated by setting up a screening camp here. Besides, people will be given information about TB by running an awareness campaign.

On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Santosh Kumar Vaishya, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Desh Deepak Pal, ACMO Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh, District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Sanjay Kumar, District Panchayat Raj Officer Anshul Maurya, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. K. N Choudhary, ACM O Dr Sujit Kumar Mishra, ADMLR and FR, District Program Coordinator Dr Mithilesh Kumar Singh, Anurag, Sunil Verma, Sanjay Yadav, Ravi Prakash, Venkatesh and all Superintendents/Incharge Medical Officers, Block Development Officer, ADO Panchayat, CHO, BPM. , BCPM and other departmental officers and employees were present.
