Kotwali in-charge Manoj Kumar Sharma said that the search for the missing Mahant was a big challenge for the police. He had gone to his second ashram 4 days ago which is in front of Nepali Baba Ashram. From there he left his ashram at around 6:15 in the morning and did not return. His Gorakhpur ashram is where he used to come and go, inquiries were made there also. It was told that Mahant had not reached there. CCTV was checked by Chowki Raiganj in which Dhanush was seen walking alone in front of the Palace at 6:31 am.

According to the police, Mahant was seen going from Bharat Krupa Palace towards Saket Petrol Pump at 6:33 am, towards Balu Ghat. After this, when the CC footage was seen from Awadh Tea Stall, where Gorakhpur buses stand. Were seen going under that bridge. A thorough search was conducted by all the people of the ashram but he was not found. People around were asked. But no controversy related to that ashram came to light. The police informed senior officials about this incident.

At present, the police have heaved a sigh of relief after the safe return of the missing Mahant. According to the police, the Mahant had probably gone away in anger.
