RK Nigam said that 40 organizations come under the banner of Joint Struggle Steering Committee. Everyone is firm on the demand for restoration of old pension. The government is continuously ignoring our demands. Instead of fulfilling our demands, it is trying to find a third way.
But we are not going to back down from our demands. Nothing else will be accepted in lieu of the old pension. Do not agree with the proposal of “UPS” recently made by the Central and State Governments. No employee wants “NPS” and “UPS”. Employees across the state are fighting for ‘OPS’ only.

Senior Vice President Varun Kumar said that a candle march was taken out from Hazratganj Inspiration Sthal – BN Singh statue to GPO Gandhi statue. We had also taken out a candle march last year demanding ‘OPS’. S-4 officials have sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister regarding their demand.
He said that along with the reinstatement of ‘OPS’, there is also a demand for regularization of ‘contractual workers’. Our demand is that OPS should be implemented soon. The protesting employees were holding placards regarding their demands and raising slogans.
