The police have arrested the gamblers.

Muzaffarnagar police station Charthawal, after taking permission from the SSP, raided a room outside village Akbargarh late in the evening. From there, ten people including the current village head Mohit were arrested while gambling.

The police station was receiving information for several days that Arjun has built a room in his farm outside the village, in which gambling is played daily. When the police investigated, they found the information correct. Gambling was being played even late on Tuesday evening. After this the police station raided and arrested ten people.

CO Sadar Raju Kumar Sao said that Rs 3,880 in cash and playing cards were recovered from the accused. A case has been registered against the arrested village head Mohit, Bittu, Navneet, Bablu, Phool Kumar, Monu, Manoj, Arjun and Amit, residents of village Akbargarh.

Three gamblers also caught in Khatauli town Gambling was being played inside the house of Naman Jain, resident of Bada Bazar, Khatauli, which was locked from outside. The police went inside the house from the terrace of the neighbours’ house and arrested Naman Jain, Raju and Deepchand who were gambling. Also recovered Rs 12 thousand 900 in cash and playing cards.
