In view of Navratri, enforcement of the Food Department has become active in Ballia. The team raided the markets of Bansdih Road, Bansdih and Sahatwar on Thursday. During this period, the team took a total of seven samples of peanut seeds, soap seeds, raisins and water chestnut flour.

Let us tell you that for effective prevention of sale of adulterated food and beverages during Navratri and other festivals, Assistant Commissioner II Ved Prakash Mishra has formed an enforcement team under the leadership of Dinesh Kumar Rai, Chief Food Safety Officer. The enforcement team will take effective enforcement action and sample collection under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2008 in the entire district from 03 to 11 October.

Assistant Commissioner II Ved Prakash Mishra said that the enforcement team will especially pay special attention to ensuring the quality of buckwheat flour, water chestnut flour, dry fruits, peanuts, sago, ramdana and other fruits. Along with this, notification based effective enforcement will be done. Food safety officers Pramod Kumar, Dharamraj Shukla, Anil Kumar, Om Prakash, Rakesh Yadav, Akhilesh Kumar Maurya, Satish Kumar Singh etc. were in the team.
