Raid by Food Safety Department in Azamgarh | Food Safety Department raid in Azamgarh: Samples collected from 15 shops, campaign will continue till Dussehra – Azamgarh News



Food Safety Department took samples from 15 shops in Azamgarh.

The Commissioner, Food Safety and Drug Administration has started a raid campaign on the occasion of upcoming Navratri and upcoming Dussehra festival in Azamgarh district. Under this campaign run on the instructions of District DM Navneet Singh Chahal, samples of food items were taken from 15 shops.

Under the leadership of Food Safety Officer Deepak Kumar Srivastava, samples of buckwheat flour, water chestnut flour and peanuts were taken from a reputed grocery store in Kalin Ganj for testing on suspicion (along with tinni rice, peanuts and sago). Samples of Makhana are also being sent for testing. Along with this, samples of peanuts and sago were collected from the branded showroom of Alwal which will be sent to the laboratory for testing.

The campaign will continue till Dussehra

Regarding this, Assistant Commissioner Food Sushil Kumar Mishra said that the raid action is being carried out keeping the festivals in mind. And the objective of this campaign is to provide pure food items. So that the sale of adulterated food items sold in the market is to be stopped. Besides, instructions were also given to take action against the person doing so. A large number of employees including Food Safety Officer Rajneesh Kumar Govind Kumar Kirti Anand Sanjay Tiwari were involved in this raid of food items.
