He had a relationship with the teacher’s wife for one and a half years. On Thursday he came to the teacher’s house for the first time. The accused had tried to commit suicide after shooting Sunil, his wife and two daughters. He fired at himself, but missed. Due to fear he could not fire again and ran away.

Before the incident, Chandan Verma had written in his WhatsApp bio – 5 people are going to die. Chandan Verma entered the house on Thursday evening and committed the crime. He shot the teacher three times, his wife two and the girls one each.

Wife had filed a complaint against Chandan According to the police, the teacher had come to know about the affair between his wife and Chandan. On August 18, i.e. 47 days ago, the teacher’s wife Poonam Bharti had lodged an FIR in the city police station of Rae Bareli district. In this, there was a threat to life from sandalwood. Said- If the family is murdered then Chandan Verma will be responsible for it.

The police had registered an FIR and also interrogated Chandan. After this, on September 12, Chandan changed his WhatsApp bio. After the FIR, the conversation between Poonam and Chandan stopped. After the FIR was registered, Chandan started harassing the family.

Reached the teacher’s house by bullet on Thursday. Gave money to the children. After this he had an argument with the husband and wife. Meanwhile he shot the husband, wife and children. After the incident, he left the bullet and ran away.

I was scared, came running with the police After the incident, medical store operator Ram Manohar Yadav was the first to reach the spot. He told- The time was 6.50 pm on Thursday. There was a sound of gunshot. Hearing the sound of firing, I ran towards teacher Sunil’s house. Meanwhile another firing took place. I was scared. Police were stationed at a distance of 100 meters from the house and immediately reached there.

Both the teacher’s children were also shot. One daughter was only one and a half years old.

When I opened the door, I was stunned to see everyone lying drenched in blood. He informed the police about the firing and ran with them to the spot. When I opened the door I was stunned. Sunil was in the police before becoming a teacher. Teacher Sunil Kumar (34) was a resident of Sudamapur village in Rae Bareli. His father Ram Gopal lives in the village. Before becoming a teacher, Sunil was in the police. On December 10, 2020, Sunil got a government job in the Basic Education Department.

On March 12, 2021, he joined Panhauna Primary School, 62 km from Amethi district headquarters. In Amethi, Sunil Ahorwa was living on rent in Munna Awasthi’s house at Bhawani intersection for 3 months.
