Kania, a resident of Khagaijot of Kotwali village in Balrampur, had gone to his brother-in-law Lalji’s house in Gonda 15 days ago. Since then he was living at his grandfather’s house. This evening he suddenly called his brother-in-law and was taking him somewhere. After reaching 50 meters away from the house, he started slitting the throat with a sharp weapon. When the family members reached the spot when the victim Lalji screamed, he fell down bleeding. After which the family took him to Balrampur District Hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. At the same time, nearby people angry over the incident caught the accused and handed him over to the police.

When they reached about 50 meters away from the house, they started slitting their throats with a sharp weapon. After this the sound of shouting came. The sharp weapons were already hidden somewhere. When we heard the shouting, we ran with the entire family and by then their throats were slit. Our husband’s condition had become very bad. The family members brought him to Balrampur Joint District Hospital in injured condition. On reaching the district hospital, doctors declared him dead. Since then there is mourning in the family.

Accused in police custody Gonda Kotwali Itiyathok in-charge Sheshamani Pandey said that the police has taken the murder accused into custody. Police are investigating the matter. However, the reasons for the murder are not yet known. Police is engaged in investigation.
