Bigg Boss 18 contestant Muskan Bamne discusses her decision to join the show after Anupamaa, her bond with co-star Rupali Ganguly.
Muskan Bamne, former Anupamaa actress and current Bigg Boss 18 contestant, opens up about her admiration for Salman Khan, the impact of Anupamaa on her career, and clears the air about rumors surrounding co-star Rupali Ganguly.
The cameras are rolling for Bigg Boss 18, hosted by Salman Khan, and viewers are getting to know the new contestants entering the house. Among them is Anupamaa actress Muskan Bamne, who recently left the popular soap opera. In an interview with Indianexpress.com, Muskan shared how her admiration for Salman Khan played a key role in her decision to join Bigg Boss 18.
Explaining her decision to take on a reality show right after Anupamaa, Muskan said, “A reality show is something where people get to know the real you. I have done TV shows where people know me through my character, but with this, people will get to know the real me. I am completely the opposite of my character Paakhi in Anupamaa. People have seen me fight a lot on screen, but there is more to me that people will get to see on Bigg Boss.”
Reflecting on her journey in Anupamaa, Muskan acknowledged the significant impact the show has had on her career. “Anupamaa has given me a lot of recognition, it was the turning point of my life. Even now, people call me Paakhi, and it feels nice to see that. The journey has been amazing,” she shared. Muskan also touched on the recent exits of Sudhanshu Pandey and Madalsa Sharma from the show, adding, “Everyone on set misses Sudhanshu and Madalsa, not just the audience. There is no fun in the show without Vanraj Shah. Lots of people connected with Sudhanshu sir. I have heard the show is taking a leap, so there might be new additions.”
When asked about rumors of tension between Rupali Ganguly and other cast members following Sudhanshu and Madalsa’s exits, Muskan was quick to dispel them. “It is not so. I was the youngest on set, so she was always very helpful. When I couldn’t understand something, she would guide me. She is lovely,” Muskan clarified.
As Muskan steps into Bigg Boss 18, her goal is to stay as honest and real as possible while allowing viewers to see her true personality. She expressed confidence that she won’t be negatively perceived, stating, “I am not worried about how people will perceive my real personality. Usually, people are worried they might get trolled or be seen negatively, but I don’t think it will happen with me.”
Bigg Boss 18 airs on Colors TV from Monday to Sunday, with a 24-hour live stream available on the Jio Cinema App.
