Kailashnath told that on August 31, an incident of theft had taken place in front of his house. On receiving the information, Gaur and Babhnan police reached the spot and examined the CCTV footage, but the thief could not be identified. After this, on September 3, the police again came to his house and took him and his grandson to the police station without any warrant.

Fighting in the police station for two days and demand for Rs 4 lakh Kailashnath said that he and his grandson were kept in the police station for two days and were badly beaten. Gaur police station incharge and Babhnan outpost constables demanded Rs 4 lakh and when they refused to give it, they were threatened with implicating them in a false case of theft.

Ultimately, he was released after taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, but his minor grandson was issued a challan. Three days later his grandson was released on bail. Kailashnath has expressed apprehension that if he complains about this matter, the police may take action against him and his family in a fake case.
