The family came to know about this incident when the girl had stomach pain. In this case, the minor’s mother had filed a report on Saturday morning. Since the report was filed, the police was trying to reach the accused of this incident. The minor admitted in the hospital had identified the accused during police interrogation on the second day after watching the CCTV footage.

The police caught the accused during an encounter near Amri Pulia around 9 pm on Sunday night on the information of an informer. The accused fired at the police. In retaliation, the police caught the accused by shooting him in his right leg.

Police recovered a pistol, a shell and two live cartridges from the accused. The accused told the police that he was a resident of the same locality as the girl. Police named the accused as Deepak alias Mulla. The police admitted him to the District Joint Hospital for treatment.

The police had collected photographs of several suspects on the basis of CCTV footage to uncover the incident that happened to the girl. To whom the police were continuously showing the girl for identification. The girl had recognized a picture. On this basis the police could identify the accused.

According to the police, the accused is the neighbor of the girl. Regarding this, SP Rural Akhilesh Bhadauria says that the accused of raping a girl has already spent five months in jail in the year 2021 for slitting the throat of a person. The accused will be sent to jail after getting his medical done.
