On Monday, Samajwadi Party workers held a strong demonstration in the Collectorate in Sant Kabir Nagar regarding various problems of the district. Under the leadership of SP District President and former MLA Abdul Kalam, the workers demanded District Magistrate Mahendra Singh Tanwar from the Governor.

In the memorandum, SP made serious allegations against the district administration. He said that extortion is being done from farmers and traders in the name of work in tehsils and police stations. Along with this, the Marund villages affected by the erosion of Ghaghra and Rapti rivers are not getting the necessary materials. Power cuts are also at their peak in the district and the vigilance of the electricity department is extorting money from farmers and traders by accusing them of electricity theft.
Raised demand for repair of roads The incidents of crimes like robbery, murder, molestation are increasing in the district, but instead of stopping them, the police is torturing the victims. SP also raised the demand for repair of roads broken due to rain.
