Bigg Boss 18: When Vivian Dsena’s Ex-Wife Vahbiz Slammed Rs 2 Cr Alimony Rumours, ‘Stop Blaming…’ – News18
Bigg Boss 18 contestant Vivian Dsena was previously married to Vahbiz Dorabjee.
Vahbiz Dorabjee, in a throwback interview, addressed rumours about demanding Rs 2 crore alimony from Vivian Dsena, urging people to stop blaming women for relationship issues.
As Bigg Boss 18 contestant Vivian Dsena continues to make headlines, his past marriage with Vahbiz Dorabjee has resurfaced. The two actors, who met on the sets of Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and married after two years of dating, separated in 2016 and later filed for divorce. While their divorce proceedings reportedly stretched over three years, rumours circulated that Vahbiz had demanded an alimony of Rs 2 crore.
In a 2019 interview with Pinkvilla, Vahbiz Dorabjee addressed the rumours and the unfair treatment women often face in such situations. “Why is it that women are always blamed when something goes wrong? Everyone talks about women empowerment, but then you ridicule a woman like this?” she questioned. Vahbiz expressed frustration at being blamed and misrepresented, adding that she had remained silent for two to three years, hoping the rumours would naturally fade. But when they persisted, she felt the need to speak out.
Addressing the alimony rumours, Vahbiz clarified, “It’s not like I arbitrarily asked for anything; it is the court that decides what is fair. The court will ensure justice is served. If the case has been pending for three years, there must be a significant reason behind it. People jump to conclusions without knowing the full story.”
Vahbiz said that her demand for alimony wasn’t about money, but about justice. “Many question why I would ask for money when I come from a well-to-do family. Let me clarify, this is about justice, not wealth. The court will decide what’s right.”
She continued, “It’s high time people stop blaming women for anything which goes wrong in a relationship. I’m privileged, but what about women who don’t have the same background? Why should any woman tolerate injustice just because she’s from a good family?”
