On Tuesday, local people created ruckus in Rajendra Nagar area of Lucknow over laying of underground cable. Local people clashed with junior engineers and electricians. After which the police was informed. From the spot the police brought both the parties together.

Let us tell you that 440 KV underground cable was being laid on Tuesday near Makkar Nursing Home of Rajendra Nagar under UPIL sub-centre of Lesa. During this time, Hanuman Prasad Mishra, living in the area, brought about 40-50 people with him. All the people got the cable laying work stopped alleging that the Municipal Corporation was digging the road without permission.
After the work stopped, the electricians informed the junior engineer. When junior engineers reached the spot, an altercation started between the two sides. Seeing the commotion increasing, someone informed the police. The police reached the spot, listened to both the parties and calmed down the commotion. However, the Bilji workers had to return without doing the work.
