Preparations for the grand festival of lights to be held in Ayodhya on October 30 have been intensified.

Under the able leadership of Prof. Pratibha Goyal, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, more than 25 lakh lamps will be lit at 55 ghats on Chhoti Diwali in Ramnagari. For which the university administration has made preparations to appoint 30 thousand volunteers. in

As per the intention of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the first Deepotsav after the consecration of Lord Shri Ram will be made historic. The university administration has geared up to make the eighth Deepotsav grand. Finalization of preparations for Diwali has started. The date of registration for participation in Deepotsav has been extended. Now you will be able to register for participation till 15th October. Apart from this, the Deepotsav I-card of the volunteers is also being finalized. Distribution of I-cards to volunteers will start from October 20.

Regarding the preparations for Deepotsav, Nodal Coordinator Prof. SS Mishra said that 28 lakh lamps will be spread at 55 ghats of Ram Pauri with the target of lighting 25 lakh lamps given by the Uttar Pradesh government. For which 30 thousand volunteers will be deployed. Including the university campus, 14 colleges, 37 inter colleges and 40 NGOs are included. The mapping work has been started by the university. Marking work will be done by personnel at the ghats from 17th or 18th October.

He said that 30 ml mustard oil will be put in 30 ml lamps in 16 by 16 blocks at all the ghats of Ram Ki Paidi. For which the arrangement of 90 thousand liters of mustard is being completed with the help of the district administration. The registration work for participation in Deepotsav will be completed by October 15. Distribution of I-cards of volunteers will be started from October 20. The consignment of lamps will start arriving at the ghats from 26th October.

From 27th October, volunteers will lay lamps on the ghats and create a world record by lighting the lamps on 30th October. Media in-charge Dr. Vijayendu Chaturvedi said that with the help of the district administration and the university, the works are being finalized to make the Deepotsav historic.
