A person crossing the road in Sitapur was hit by an auto. The person injured in the collision was admitted to CHC for treatment. Where the doctors declared him dead during treatment. The police reached the spot after informing the family about the accident and sent the body to post mortem.

The incident took place in Mahmudabad Kotwali area. Here late on Wednesday evening, Dharmendra Kumar (44), son of Ram Verma, resident of Bilauli Bazaar of the area, was being told to go home after drinking tea from the hotel. It is said that while crossing the road, Gupta was hit hard by an auto coming from behind near the hotel. The collision was so strong that Dharmendra was seriously injured.
The auto driver absconded after the accident. Local people admitted the injured person to CHC with the help of an ambulance for treatment. After treatment that lasted for some time, the doctors declared the person dead. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and sent the body to the district headquarters for post-mortem.
