Hapur. In Tagasarai locality of police station Dehat Kotwali area, cyber thugs cheated a young man of Rs 20 lakh by luring him with huge profits in the share market. On the complaint of the victim youth, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

Mohalla Tagasarai resident Amit Tyagi told that a few days ago he was added to a WhatsApp group. The administrator of the group, posing as a bank officer, lured people to earn profits by investing in the share market. Being influenced by the words of the accused, Amit invested Rs 20 lakh. The fraud came to light when he realized the fraud through the bank’s VIP members app. Upon investigation, it was found that Karan Birla, resident of Think Techno Campus, Kanjur Marg, Mumbai is the main accused in this fraud.
The victim immediately informed the police about the entire matter, after which the police registered a case and started investigation. CO Jitendra Sharma said that investigation into the matter is ongoing and necessary action will be taken soon.
