A huge crowd of devotees gathered at Vindhyachal Dham on Ashtami Tithi. Right from the time of Mangala Aarti in the morning, devotees formed long queues to have darshan of the divine form of Maa Vindhyavasini. With time this crowd increased further, and the atmosphere of Vindhyachal was filled with the cheers of Mata.

Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Shiv Pratap Shukla took charge in view of the crowd gathered at the Dham. At the same time, SP Abhinandan also maintained contact through wireless to make arrangements. To ensure security in the entire area, the police team kept vigil from the crematorium Ganga Ghat to Vindhya Mountain, and the situation was also monitored with the help of drones. President of Srivindhya Panda Samaj, Pankaj Dwivedi informed that till late night, more than four lakh devotees had darshan and worship of Maa Vindhyavasini. Devotees who came from far and wide first took bath in the Ganga and then had darshan of the Mother Goddess.

Some of the devotees took darshan of Maa Vindhyavasini from the sanctum sanctorum and some from the tableau and prayed for happiness, prosperity and health. Apart from this, devotees also worshiped Maa Kali at Kalikhoh located on Trikon Path and Maa Saraswati at Ashtabhuja Temple.

In the dark of night, a crowd of devotees started gathering at Bhairav ​​Kund and Tara Temple, where special worship was performed on Maha Nisha to attain Siddhi. Thus, Vindhyachal Dham once again proved its religious importance.
