On Navami of Navratri, crowds of devotees gathered in the temples of the city since morning. Devotees broke the nine-day fast with Kanya Puja. During this period, extensive security arrangements were made. SP Alok Priyadarshi reached Gurgaon Devi Temple and took up security arrangements.

Famous Devi temples of the city like Badi Devi Temple, Gurgaon Temple and Mathiya Devi Temple witnessed rush of devotees. After worshiping the Mother Goddess, the devotees ended their fast by feeding food to small girls. Crowds of girls gathered at the temples, where police personnel made the devotees line up and allowed them to have darshan of the Mother Goddess.
