According to the information, Tania, 8 year old daughter of Bilendra Kumar, resident of Malakpur village, was going towards the fields with her mother. As Tania moved towards the forest, suddenly a leopard attacked them. Before the mother could do anything, the leopard picked up Tania and ran away. Hearing the noise of the girl’s mother, the villagers gathered and started searching for the girl. She was found unconscious in a field at some distance away. The villagers took him to the local CHC, where doctors declared him dead.
Forest department failed to catch
The people of the area are scared because of the leopard roaming freely in Bijnor. This leopard has been synonymous with terror in the area for the past several days, but the forest department is proving unsuccessful in catching it. At present, after this incident, the forest department and police teams have reached the spot and are busy searching for traces of the leopard.
Last month a young man and a girl riding a bike were also attacked
This is not the first incident. Last month, on September 6, a leopard had attacked a young man and a girl riding a bike in Najibabad area. The leopard had badly torn the legs of the young man and the girl. Seeing the villagers coming, he ran away from the spot. Let us tell you that till now 26 people have died due to leopard attack in the district. Apart from this, many people have also been injured.
