Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty got married in 2009.

Raj Kundra shares a cryptic note on X as he and his actress-wife Shilpa Shetty get temporary relief after Bombay High Court stays ED’s eviction notice on their properties.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have been in the spotlight recently due to legal troubles involving the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The couple challenged the ED’s notice to vacate their properties, including their Mumbai residence in Juhu and a farmhouse near Pune. The notices were issued in connection to an alleged money-laundering case. However, the Bombay High Court has now provided interim relief by pausing the eviction order until the couple submits their stay application.

In the midst of this ongoing legal battle, Raj Kundra took to X to share a cryptic message that seemed to address his struggles. He tweeted, “For the two men that tried to tarnish my reputation and bring me down. I forgive you, but let me remind you—it’s not easy to break someone who stands on the foundation of truth and courage! The light of honesty always prevails. I stand tall & stronger than ever. Jai Mata Di,” adding a folded hands emoji and an evil-eye symbol to his post.

The legal trouble stems from an investigation initiated by the ED in 2018, when they began probing Amit Bharadwaj for his involvement in a Ponzi scheme. While Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra were not initially named as suspects, they were notified in April 2024 that their assets were being provisionally attached as part of the case. Both Raj and Shilpa have maintained their innocence, claiming they have cooperated fully with the ED’s investigation. Raj has attended multiple summons in person, and Shilpa has provided documentation via her authorised representatives.

The eviction notice, which was issued on September 27, instructed the couple to vacate their properties within 10 days. However, a bench consisting of Justice Revati Mohite Dere and Justice P.K. Chavan has stayed the eviction order pending the filing of the stay application by Raj and Shilpa.

The court clarified that no action will be taken on the eviction notices until the Appellate Authority hears the couple’s appeal. If the ruling does not go in their favour, Raj and Shilpa will be given an additional two weeks to vacate their properties.
