Under the new rules, Noida Authority is going to launch a scheme for four group housing plots. These plots are in Sector-44 and 151. CEO Dr. Lokesh M said that space has been identified for six group housing plots in Sector-151, but only three plots will be included in the scheme coming this month. The remaining plot will be included in the second plan. The CEO said that under the new rules, after getting the plot, the builder will have to deposit the full amount within 90 days. Only after this the plot will be registered.

He said that due to the condition of depositing the money within 90 days, only those builders whose financial condition will be better will come forward in the scheme. The CEO said that in the past years, the rules have been made strict due to builders not paying dues to the authority after purchasing the plot.

In such a situation, new builders will get a chance to join the new scheme, the reason for this is that most of the builders here are defaulters.

The process of giving land to builders continued in large numbers till the year 2014-15. At present there are about 110 group housing projects in the city. Before the year 2006-07, after purchasing a plot for group housing, it was necessary to deposit 30 percent of the allotment amount. But around 2007, the rules were changed during the BSP government. Under this, the rule of taking only 10 percent of the allocation amount was implemented.
