Today Vijayadashami, the festival of victory of truth over untruth, will be celebrated across the country. But due to the negligence of the officials in Gauriganj, the district headquarters of Amethi, the festival of Vijayadashami will not be celebrated this time. The decision was taken in the meeting organized by Ramlila Staging Committee late in the evening.

Actually, Ramlila Maidan is situated near Saitha intersection of Gauriganj, the district headquarters of Amethi. Where Ramlila staging and Ravana Dahan are being organized for the last 115 years. For the last several years, all around this Ramlila ground has been encroached upon and encroached upon. Regarding which the committee officials have been complaining for the last several years. But no action was taken by the authorities.
Late in the evening, committee officials held a meeting at the residence of Trade Board President Ajay Aggarwal and expressed their displeasure over the negligence of the officials in taking concrete action against the encroachment of Ramlila Maidan.
Committee official OP Singh said that we have been complained hundreds of times about encroachment. But no action was taken by the administration. Vijayadashami festival will not be celebrated in Gauriganj today. Neither will Ramlila be staged at Ramlila Maidan. Ravana will be burnt. We will observe a peaceful fast at the place where Ravana was burnt from 4 pm to 5 pm.
