When the controversy over the imposition of duty on women constables deepened, duty clerk Rajeev Tiwari informed the officials. Munshi has given a written complaint in his own police station, accusing the constable of abusing, torching the police station and bringing the vehicle near him with the intention of killing. After the information, DCP Varuna Chandrakant Meena said that an investigation has been conducted in the matter.
Head Constable Rajiv Tiwari has told that on Saturday, the duty of the female constable posted at the women’s help desk was put on Durga Puja. The female constable came to the office and protested against her duty being assigned to Ravana Dahan and puja pandal.
On not removing his name from duty, he called former duty clerk Arvind Yadav, while he is currently on leave. The former duty clerk brought with him criminal Ajit Yadav, resident of Gola, both of them together called Rajiv Tiwari out and after abusing him, he beat him up.
Criminal Ajit Yadav threatened that if action was taken against the former duty clerk, he would burn the police station. Rajeev Tiwari told that the residence of the former duty clerk is adjacent to the police station. In such a situation, there is a fear that a conspiracy may lead to an attack on him. PRV policemen were also in the police station at the time of the incident.
Female constable got angry on duty
In his complaint, Head Constable Rajeev Tiwari said that on October 12, policemen were deployed on duty to ensure peace and order at the puja pandals. The female constable working at the women’s help desk in the police station asked to be removed from her duty. When I expressed my inability to take off my duty, he argued with me.
The duty clerk who was on leave was called and beaten up.
Making allegations, the duty clerk said in the complaint that after this, the said woman constable called her close friend and duty clerk Arvind Yadav, appointed at the local police station, who is currently on leave. History-sheeter Ajit Yadav of the police station also knew him. They called me at the gate, abused me and also beat me up and went away from there, threatening to kill me.
