Actually, Ankush Nishad (15), son of Mahendra Nishad, resident of Domarghat of Khajni area, had come to Rajghat area on Saturday night with his friends Vishal, Nitesh and Bigadu to watch the fair. At around 10 pm, five youths surrounded Ankush near the road leading to Amrutani. After beating him, he stabbed him several times in the stomach with a knife.

Hearing the screams, Vishal, Nitesh and Bigadu came to save them and the accused ran to kill them too. When the police arrived, the accused fled. With the help of his friends, Rajghat police took Ankush to the district hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.

There was a dispute going on with the youth of the village The friends informed about the incident over phone to Ankush’s mother Maina Devi and his father Mahendra, who lives in Surat and is a paint polisher, and his brothers. Uncle Anil Nishad gave a complaint to the Rajghat police and said that in March, Ankush had a dispute with a young man who was studying at his maternal home.

Due to this dispute, Vikas Nishad, Sugriva Nishad, residents of Maheva village, Jitendra of Chakra Awal, Vishal and Pradeep of Khajani had fought. On Saturday night, near Rajghat bridge, these people surrounded Ankush and attacked him with a knife and killed him. Rajghat police showed promptness after the incident and arrested five accused.

On Saturday night, Ankush had come to the city with his friends to see the Dussehra fair. Seeing him near Amrutani, Vikas gathered his friends and attacked him.

Where a young man who had gone to see the Durga Puja fair in his sister’s village was beaten up by the elders. They left him in critical condition near his sister’s house and ran away. He was taken to PHC Brahmapur for treatment. Where after first aid the doctor saw the condition as serious and referred him to the district hospital. He died on the way to the medical college.
