A major accident was averted early morning at Tulsi Ghat in Varanasi. The husband and wife who were bathing in the Ganga started drowning. The water police personnel present there, showing promptness, jumped into the Ganga and took both of them out. It is being said that both of them had come from Lucknow to have darshan of Baba Vishwanath.

Water policemen Ramji Sunny and Manoj Sahu present on the spot told that we were on duty from Assi Ghat to Tulsi Ghat in Varanasi. We were touring during this time, our eyes were on Lucknow resident Mohit Tiwari, who had come from Lucknow on a tour to Kashi, and his While taking bath, both of them fell on his wife Neha and went into deep water due to which his wife decided and he started drowning.
Devotees are facing problems due to accumulation of silt
Local people told that due to rise in the water level of Ganga, a lot of silt has accumulated on the ghat. The water level of Ganga has gone far due to which the tourists coming are facing a lot of difficulties in taking bath. Friends, the depth is not even known. .
