Arvind Tiwari, who lives near the Ranganath temple in Vrindavan, had gone to his ancestral village in Tikamgarh district with his wife Anjali Tiwari, 8-year-old daughter Gauri and 5-year-old son Mridul to celebrate Navratri. The family celebrated Navratri celebrations and then after performing Ashtami puja, left on Friday to return to Mathura.

Arvind Tiwari left for Mathura with his family by Geeta Jayanti Express train from Tikamgarh station. His reservation was in S3 coach. The family had fun and ate food in the train. After this Arvind started preparing to sleep at around ten o’clock in the night. During this time, daughter Gauri and son Mridul were playing sitting towards the window.

Father upset due to not finding his daughter

Arvind Tiwari went to leave his son to sleep with his mother. Immediately after this, when he came back to his seat, he got worried not seeing his daughter. He searched the entire train in search of his daughter. At the time when Gauri went missing, the speed of the train was about 100 kilometers per hour. When his daughter was not found in the train, Arvind pulled the chain and stopped the train in the forest itself.

While searching for his daughter, Arvind’s attention went towards the emergency window near his seat. As soon as they saw this, it did not take long for them to understand that their daughter had fallen from this window. But by the time Arvind pulled the chain of the train, the train had come about 10 kilometers ahead of the accident site.

Arvind started going towards the forest in search of his daughter. Meanwhile, the GRP police personnel present in the train came to know about his problem and informed Lalitpur GRP, assuring him of help. As soon as the information was received, GRP and RPF police from Lalitpur railway station reached where the train had stopped.

Search conducted on 16 kilometer long track

On getting information about the entire matter from Arvind, GRP Lalitpur police station in-charge formed 4 teams to search for Gauri on the 16 kilometer railway track. Soon after this, the Railway Police got success when Gauri was found lying on the side of the bushes. Gauri had minor injuries. Seeing Gauri safe, expressions of happiness appeared on the faces of the police personnel.

Reached Lalitpur by goods train

After Gauri was recovered safely, Railway Police personnel stopped a goods train passing by and they boarded it and reached Lalitpur. So that immediate treatment can be provided to Gauri. After seeing Gauri by the doctors at the station, she was referred to the district hospital due to her leg injury.

Late on Sunday evening, Arvind along with Gauri reached his wife Anjali’s house in Vrindavan. Where Gauri told her story to Dainik Bhaskar. Gauri told that she was sitting near the window of the train, suddenly it took a turn and due to the strong wind, she fell out of the window. Gauri told that she had an injury in her leg due to which she could not stand and remained lying there for about 2 hours.

The family is happy to have their daughter back safely. Mother Anjali shudders remembering that moment and tears come out of her eyes.
