A case of violation of model code of conduct was pending in the district against former MP Jaya Prada. The final arguments in this case had been completed. On Wednesday, Additional Civil Judge Shobhit Bansal acquitted the MP-MLA court while giving its verdict in this case.

The case was filed in 2019 Actually, an FIR was registered against Jaya Prada in Swar police station for violating the model code of conduct during the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. The allegation was that Jaya Prada had inaugurated the road in 2019. Along with this, a road show was also done without permission.

Her lawyer Nazar Abbas said – The prosecution could not present the certificate in the video evidence against Jaya Prada as per the order of the Supreme Court. The allegation was that he had taken out a road show and rally in Swar area. In the same case, the Flying Squad Magistrate had filed a complaint of violation of the Model Code of Conduct. Its trial was going on in MP-MLA Magistrate Court, Rampur. Apart from this, allegations were made that the road was inaugurated during the Model Code of Conduct on 19 April 2019. Which is not correct.
