Farmer Samar Bahadur Singh, resident of Mawai Alampur village of Bahadurpur block area of Amethi, started fish farming by constructing a pond on 400 hectares of private land. Farmer Samar Bahadur Singh got an income of Rs 7 lakh in 1 year, out of which he got a profit of Rs 2 lakh from fishing.
Farmers’ income will increase Regarding the scheme, Chief Development Officer Suraj Patel said that the Fisheries Department has been instructed to provide benefits to as many beneficiaries as possible and from time to time the farmers have to be made self-reliant. The department is directed to increase their income and provide them the benefits of government welfare schemes.
With the help of Fisheries Department, farmers are earning profits worth lakhs.
