Recently, in a meeting held at Noida Authority, Lokesh M, CEO of the authority, giving information about the builder under the recommendation of Amitabh Kant.

Based on the recommendation of Amitabh Kant, 57 builders in Noida gave consent. All these builders were given the benefit of two years of zero period of Covid. Out of these, only 29 builders deposited 25 percent of the total dues as per the recommendation.

Now the authority is going to give the benefit of additional zero period to the builders affected by the NGT order to stop construction within 10 km of Okhla Bird Sanctuary. This benefit will be available only to 12 builders who deposit money and that too on the basis of case to case study.

Officials said that about Rs 8273.78 thousand crore were outstanding on 57 builders. After the recommendation of Amitabh Kant, these builders were given the benefit of zero period from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2022. That means the total outstanding amount has reduced by Rs 1866 crore.

Authority officials said that in January, 57 builders were called in different groups and informed about the dues. Under the government order, after the consent, the builders had to deposit 25 percent of the total dues within 60 days.

Considering that those builders who deposit 25 percent of the amount within the stipulated time will be given the benefit of zero period from August 14, 2013 to August 19, 2015, considering themselves affected by the NGT order.

In this, only 29 builders deposited Rs 276 crore at the rate of 25 percent. The remaining builders deposited partial money. Under which a total of Rs 378.73 crore has been deposited so far and 1474 buyers could be registered. Now only these builders will be given benefits on case to case basis.

Authority has already given the benefit of zero period On the demand of many builders affected by the NGT order, the authority has already given the benefit of zero period for a short period of around 77 days. Officials said that this period will be reduced from two years. Only after this the dues will be recalculated. In such a situation, the dues of 12 builders are being calculated by the Finance Department.

Action being taken on sealing of 85 flats of 6 builders Apart from 29, there are 17 such builders. Those who have given consent and deposited some money in the authority. 5 builders have given consent. But did not deposit even a single penny. Whereas there are six builders who neither gave consent nor came forward to deposit the money. 85 flats of these six builders have been sealed. These will be auctioned. From which the dues will be recovered.
