A woman suffering from stomach ache died during treatment at Ayush Nursing Home under Bidhnu police station area of ​​Kanpur. The family members allege that the treatment was being done by the nurse after talking to the doctor on phone. The woman was kept admitted despite his repeated requests for discharge.

The family members started creating ruckus, saying that it was death due to wrong treatment. As soon as the information about the uproar in the nursing home was received, the Circle Force along with Bidhanu police reached the spot, conducted investigation and sent the body for post-mortem.

Was admitted due to stomach ache

According to the information, Shanti (38), wife of Ramkishore, a chaat vendor resident of Nai Basti Nyori, in the Ayush Nursing Home located in Audha village, was admitted around 5 in the morning due to stomach pain. Shanti died during treatment.

On receiving information about Shanti’s death, more than 50 villagers and family members reached the spot and started creating ruckus, accusing her of treating her without a doctor. The woman’s son Anup told that mother Shanti had fever for the last two days and she took her medicine from Dr. K. at Uriyara Mod. Took it from K.

After which his fever got cured but around 4 in the morning he started having severe stomach pain. On which he admitted Shanti to AYUSH Hospital where she died after five hours of treatment.

There was no doctor in the hospital

The woman’s husband Ramkishore has alleged that there was no doctor present in the hospital, and the treatment was being done by the staff nurse while talking to someone on the phone. Many times he asked for discharge due to unavailability of doctor, but staff nurse Sapna kept the patient admitted saying that the doctor would arrive soon.

After taking Rs 5,000 within five hours, the body of the woman was handed over to her family members. On the other hand, Bidhanu and Sen Paschimpara police station, which reached the spot after receiving information about the uproar, pacified the angry family members and assured them of action and sent the body for post-mortem.

Inspector said that action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report. Bidhnu SO Jitendra Pratap Singh said that after convincing the family members, the woman’s body has been sent for post-mortem. Further action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report.
