The man convicted of murdering a friend in Rampur has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Besides, a fine has also been imposed on the culprit. The court has declared him guilty of murder of a friend in a dispute over getting back Rs 3 lakh and has ordered life imprisonment and fine.

Mohammad Rafi’s brother Saddam and Pritam, residents of village Chaukhadi of Thana Tanda, were close friends. Saddam often visited Pritam’s house in connection with farming. He had lent Rs 3 lakh to Pritam from someone, but he was reluctant to return the money. Due to this, Pritam had called Saddam and taken him. Saddam’s body was found. In this case, Tanda police had registered a report against two people including one named and one unknown. The charge sheet was presented in the court against an accused. The hearing of this case was going on in the court of ADJ II.
Fine of Rs 28 thousand imposed
SP Vidyasagar Mishra said that the court has sentenced Pritam to life imprisonment considering him guilty of killing Saddam. Along with this, a fine of Rs 28 thousand has also been imposed on him.
